“Divorce is the most impossible, strange and unpredictable thing that can happen in my world,” Debra concludes. I woke up in the morning and thought, “No no, this can’t be my life. I just had a bad dream. That’s not me.” That’s the negative side. The positive side is “Oh, I’m surviving this – anything is possible.” It shows me that you don’t have to keep repeating the same things. There’s a whole world out there and suddenly I thought, “I’m going to train to be an existential psychotherapist.” ”
Debra is a film producer turned psychotherapist and runs her own private practice. She studied at Regent’s College London and Swarthmore College.
