Early life

Caleb Mutfwang was born in Wussasa, Zaria, on 12 March 1965. From 1973 to 1977, he attended LEA Ampang-West Primary School in Mangu LGA, where he completed his primary education.

He then attended Boys’ High School in Gindiri, where he graduated in 1982. The Federal Bureau of Statistics and the now defunct Nigeria Bank of Commerce and Industry (NBCI) were Caleb’s employers in at that moment.

But his desire to learn persisted, and from 1983 to 1984 he enrolled in the School of Preliminary Studies in Keffi.

From 1984 to 1988, Caleb studied at the University of Jos. On 14 December 1989, he was admitted to the Nigerian Bar as a Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court after completing his studies there.

Caleb also completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) mandatory program in Kaduna State, where he was selected by fellow participants as the President of the Nigerian Christian Legion Scholarship Association in Kaduna State.

From 1990 to 1995, Caleb Mutfwang worked as a member of the prestigious law firm BYOMA, ICHABA & CO (FIDELITY CHAMBERS) based in Kaduna.

Drawing on his knowledge and experience, he founded his own firm, Caleb Mutfwang & Co, a registered firm for legal practitioners with the Corporate Affairs Commission, on March 21, 1996.

Caleb’s legal background led him to the position of Deputy General Manager of Secretarial & Legal Services at Peugeot Automobile Nigeria Limited in Kaduna in 2002.

He held this role until 2004 when he was Acting Company Secretary.

Caleb Mutfwang is a respected member of many professional organizations, including the Nigerian Bar Association, where he serves on the Business Law Section.

He is also a member of the International Bar Association, the Nigerian Christian Bar Association, the American Christian Legal Association and the Nigerian Institute of Management.
