Chandigarh Mental Health Institute receives bomb threat via Email, Patients referred

The Mental Health Institute (MHI) in Chandigarh’s Ward 32 received a bomb threat via email on Wednesday morning, following which some patients were shifted to another ward. “A bomb has been placed inside the Institute of Mental Health and it will explode soon, and people will die,” said an email sent by a user named ‘Adam Lanza’ from ‘[email protected]’ speak. The email also said that the group ‘Terrorizers111’ was behind the action. The threat came on a day when many museums in Delhi, including the National Railway Museum, received email bomb threats. Chandigarh Deputy Superintendent of Police South Dalbir Singh confirmed the threat and said that the mail was sent to the hospital’s official email ID around 9.40 am.
