Early life and education
Elom Adabra, popularly known as EL, spent his early years in the vibrant suburb of Dansoman, Accra. Born on June 28, 1989, he started his schooling at St. Martin de Porres School, Dansoman before moving on to Jack and Jill to complete his junior secondary education.
After graduating from high school, he remained committed to pursuing his passion for music. While attending the Presbyterian Secondary School for Boys (PRESEC), he discovered his deep-rooted love for music. His passion for music led him to the hallowed halls of the University of Ghana, Legon, where he pursued a double degree in Economics and Political Science.
As a freshman in college, young and talented Elom “EL” Adablah signed with Jayso’s Skillions Records. He collaborated with Jayso on the Skillionaires Demo tape, but Skillions disbanded after college. Undeterred, he took control of his music career and decided to go solo, opening his own recording studio in Asylum Down.

Elom “EL” Adablah moved to a better recording studio in Osu and spent all available funds on equipment. He even released a track Chale (So Fli) in collaboration with Jay Foley, Wolf and Kwaku T. However, the mixtape was never released. His debut double album Something Else was published by Akwaaba Music on June 1, 2012 and is a blend of various musical styles, inspired by many sources. Elom “EL” Adablah has signed with BBnZ live.
On May 20, 2014, he released Best African Rappers (BAR), which features artists from Nigeria such as Sarkodie, Joey B, C-Real, Gemini, Telvin, Frozen, Lil Shaker, Stargo, PK and Dex Kwasi. This mixtape follows the success of the previous BAR series. It features established and emerging rappers such as Teephlow, Kojo-Cue and Medikal. Nina, a melodramatic song about a psychotic groupie, is one of the standout tracks on the album.
Other hardcore rap tracks such as “Change”, “Superstar”, “Lalafalama” and “Bars” have also been highly praised. Elom “EL” Adablah released his fifth studio album, “BAR V” (stylized as BVR), a 15-track collection. Rap singles include “Nobody”, “The Greatest” and “Thinkin'”. This is a collaborative project with Ghanaian musician Ayisi – AI. This will be his first collaborative album release. This will be the second notable collaborative album in Ghana, after Sarkodie (rapper) and Jayso with TMG. The Linkop album is a product of the good chemistry they had during their collaboration on the Adwuma song. The CD has seven songs ranging from Afrobeats to Dancehall to Reggae Fusion. For 2 Music is well received by the masses.
The album features seven songs in different styles. The award-winning rapper celebrated the new year in a unique way. Elom “EL” Adablah released several projects at the beginning of the new decade, including several singles and two separate tapes. The first one was Leaks1. It included talented rappers who needed to be more famous. One of these rappers was Yung Pabi, with whom he collaborated on the song Respect. The album contains three tracks.
The album has three tracks, much like the previous tape. These tunes are so catchy that some industry experts/critics call them masterpieces. The third track – Jerry Rawlings is the standout, featuring friend and long-time collaborator Gemini Orleans.
