The Philadelphia rapper announced the release of their long-awaited record just a week earlier on October 24 when they shared a mysterious teaser trailer to promote the album.

The screen read: “On March 6, 2020, Lil Uzi Vert mysteriously disappeared.” “Although what happened that day has never been confirmed, loyalists believe it was the fulfillment of a long-awaited prophecy… Eternal Atake.”
Promotion of their new album once again focused on aspects of Heaven’s Gate’s fundamental beliefs in UFOs and prophecy fulfillment, with the album trailer featuring the rapper being transported via UFO to a dimension another time.

While the album is poised to deliver a major comeback for the rap superstar, fans have turned on the project and shared their disappointment about it on social media.
“Lil uzi vert I want my 43 minutes BACK,” user X posted.
“Just listened to Eternal Atake 2 only to find out Lil Uzi Vert was washed,” another said.
“Lil Uzi Vert on disappointing listeners after EA 1,” user X shared alongside a GIF of a basketball class dunking the ball.

“Lil Uzi Vert please delete it,” another person simply captioned their post.
“It’s lil uzi vert’s worst album,” said another.
“Now how do I feel about this new Lil Uzi Vert album…” another said with a GIF of the volume being turned down.
Original Eternal benefits was released on streaming services in March 2020 just before the world was plunged into the COVID-19 pandemic. It sold a total of 288,000 album units in its first week and was ranked the fourth biggest rap album of the year by Billboard.
