Justin Timberlake’s DWI mugshot turned into art installation in Sag Harbor

Justin Timberlake’s drunk driving photo has been turned into a painting in Sag Harbor, New York.

Page Six reports that artist Godfrey Lohman painted Timberlake’s portrait, which was taken while he was incarcerated in Sag Harbor, New York, in June 2024.

Lohman then dropped off the painting at the local Romany Kramoris Gallery in the Hamptons. The line reportedly never ended, and passersby took photos of the painted portrait of Timberlake.

“My reaction was, ‘Oh my gosh!’ It’s amazing! It’s amazing!” owner Romany Kramoris told the channel.

According to one of the gallery’s curators, Timberlake’s portrait is their “most contemporary work”, describing it as “timely”.

Notably, the gallery sold two or three pieces and “a lot of people came back.” Kramroris also added that the green one was not his favorite, noting that it “looked a little sickly” and had “had too many martinis.”

Timberlake was arrested in Sag Harbor, Long Island, New York, on June 18, 2024, for driving under the influence.

The NSYNC singer was having dinner with friends at the American Hotel in Sag Harbor before he drove off. Police stationed outside the hotel spotted him and followed him.

“[Timberlake] “He was out for dinner with friends, and police cars were outside the restaurant like they do most nights,” an insider told The Daily Mail. “They were looking for people who left after midnight and might have been drinking.”

He was charged with drunken driving and cited for two traffic violations. The singer was eventually released without bail on Tuesday morning.

Although Timberlake claimed he only had one martini, the complaint listed him as having “an inability to divide his attention,” “slurred speech,” “unsteady gait,” and even “performing poorly on all standardized road sobriety tests.”

Page Six reported additional details about the arresting officer’s interaction.

At one point, Timberlake’s friends told the police to let him go. However, the arresting officer was so young that he did not recognize Timberlake.

“He didn’t recognize him or his name,” one of the insiders revealed. “Justin whispered, ‘This is going to ruin the tour.’ The cop replied, ‘What tour?’ Justin said, ‘The world tour.’”

Timberlake’s court date has been set for July 26, 2024, but sources say Timberlake will not have to attend the hearing.
