Daniels, based in Lagos, has vehemently denied the allegations, asserting that three of the four women who accused him had conspired against him. However, the court rejected his plea, with Justice Oshodi saying Daniels lacked concern for the truth.
Bishop’s plea included statements about personal relationships with the accusers, financial support for medical treatment, tuition payments and counseling. However, the court found inconsistencies in his testimony.
During cross-examination, the prosecution accused Daniels of using his pastoral position to manipulate people seeking advice. The pastor denied the accusations, saying he was not a manipulator but a pastor who counseled without using power.
