Fans were disappointed when The Black Keys suddenly canceled upcoming shows this year without providing any explanation to fans. However, member Patrick Carney gave insight into what happened behind closed doors.

Taken to his official X accountformerly known as Twitter, the musician briefly explained why the tour was canceled, simply posting: “We got the f*****. I’ll let you all know how to keep that from happening.” happen to you.”

Last month, the duo of Carney and Dan Auerbach quietly canceled their upcoming 2024 shows because many fans had just received notice that the concert they had purchased tickets for would not go ahead. Many theorized that the series of shows was suspended due to low ticket sales, but they later resolved the matter online.

The band later took to social media to offer a light-hearted explanation, saying that both members are “still healthy”.

They wrote: “Following recent shows in the UK and Europe, including stops at iconic venues such as the Brixton Academy and Zenith in Paris, we have decided to make some changes for the North American leg of the International Players Tour.” that the new move will allow them to deliver a fun and intimate experience for themselves and their fans.

Billboard then reported that the Black Keys had parted ways with their management team, Irving Azoff and Steve Moir of Full Stop Management.

A representative for Azoff told the news outlet that the split was “amicable.”

The band has yet to share an update on their canceled shows, but they are still set to perform at the NASCAR Chicago Street Race music festival on July 6, 2024.

The group just finished performing in Europe, where they performed songs from their latest album, Ohio Players. Before canceling the concert, they performed on Voicethe season finale.
