Early life

Sean ‘P. Diddy’ Combs was born into the family of Melvin Earl Combs and Janice Combs. He was born on November 4, 1969 in Harlem, New York City. He has a sister named Keisha Combs.

The Combs named their son Sean John Combs. His father was a military officer and served in the United States Air Force. His mother Janice is a teacher’s assistant and model. He spent his formative years residing in Mount Vernon, New York City.

When Sean ‘P. Diddy’ Combs was less than two years old when his father was shot and killed while he was sitting in the car. At that time Melvin Earl Combs was 33 years old. He was nicknamed “Puff” because when he was young, he used to “puff” when angry.
