Cleotrapa calls out Ice Spice in brutal criticism, prompting a fierce response from the rapper

Cleotrapa took to TikTok and Twitter to publicly criticize her former friend Ice Spice, accusing her of being treated poorly during their time on tour together.

Her latest revelations have garnered widespread attention on multiple social media platforms, most notably on X, formerly Twitter.

Ice Spice invited Cleotrapa to tour with her with the primary purpose of improving her reputation following negative comments from a former friend who accused the “Barbie World” artist of badmouthing others, including Cleotrapa and even Nicki Minaj.

The “Von Dutch” artist claims that the tour was staged to salvage Ice Spice’s public image after the scandal.

Cleotrapa detailed several incidents she remembered as tragic on tour, shedding light on the constant disrespect and lack of care she faced while touring with the musician.

After receiving a surprise tour invitation from Ice Spice, Cleo finds herself with only one day to prepare for the upcoming tour.

Despite the short notice, the “Gimmie A Light” rapper promised to share accommodations and cover all expenses. However, Cleotrapa discovered she was not on the official tour list and was disappointed that her promotional efforts were not being recognized.

Adding to her concerns, she expressed her intention to perform before the concert’s start time.

AllHipHop reported that at the start of the tour, Cleotrapa described the early days as “cute”, however, things changed when she brought up Ice Spice regarding security issues when they refused to assist her with her luggage.

Following this incident, Cleotrapa accused Ice Spice and her crew of treating her unfairly, citing several incidents that occurred during the tour.

The “Protagonist” artist recalled being put in a bathroom as a makeshift dressing room due to a lack of proper facilities and having to pay for her own accommodation until Ice Spice’s hairdresser offered to let her stay.

@cleotrapa

I wanna hear “I told you so Cleo” because honestly I really think I have a friend idc. You guys won’t make up false stories! Because I will always clear my name and you guys have known that since 2018

Additionally, she said the production crew informed her that she was not included in the budget and refused to pay for expenses such as chicken salad.

She happened to find her forgotten bag outside Ice Spice’s dressing room another time and learned that her credit card had been charged $700.

Cleotrapa then began to view Ice Spice as “calculated” and accused the 24-year-old from The Bronx of using her for “launch” and other promotional activities.

“Because we never chill out to music like chill hit bro. It’s always on the blogs the next day and the song is being released too.”

She added, “You actually have one chance to prove to me that you are jealous, easily intimidated, untrustworthy, fake, disloyal, insincere, manipulative and calculating.”

Cleotrapa’s heartfelt comments touched the hearts of many fans, making them reflect on Ice Spice’s integrity and the complexity of their friendship.

@EliAshawnn said: “But not even paying your friend for her time is insane, especially if she turns down touring gigs with celebrities because she ‘wants a bigger profit margin’ I’m out.”

She added, “Ice Spice is just a human being at the end of the day, she has more say than people are giving her credit for lmfao. She’s ‘talented’ enough to keep all her masters but she can’t justify that her ‘Best Friend’ deserves to be paid some money no matter what the amount is??? I could never and will never allow my friend to work for free FOH.”

@FractionSleezee suggested to Cleo, “Sister, get a lawyer. The contract is signed and if they fail to meet their contractual obligations, you have the right to take them to court.”

@thickstali added, “No, I actually think the ice is the problem.”

@PrettifulBarbz wrote, “Oh girl, you gotta KNOW YOUR WORTH because there’s no such thing as a FREE BIT. People will leave you and won’t do the same for YOU. Don’t let them walk all over you.”

However, some fans sided with Ice Spice, arguing that it was acceptable for her not to pay Cleotrapa because she wasn’t famous.

One X user, @MunchiesPrint, wrote, “Let me put it simply for you. You are a nobody. Statistically, 0.3% of your audience knows your lyrics and you need some form of payment because music obviously doesn’t bring anything. The best advice I can give you is don’t quit your day job! Hope this helps.”

@BotchedBody also wrote, “To be fair? I went to the show in LA, no one knew your song except rockstars. Destiny’s Child and Britney Spears played a LOT of free shows during their rise. It was great publicity and you did/looked amazing. Be proud. No messing around.”

Following the harsh criticism, Ice Spice responded that she was only “trying to help out” her “arrogant ex-friend”.

“It’s sad to be leaving guys,” she shared on Twitter Spaces, via AllHipHop.

“Honestly, the scariest thing about fame is the moment when someone feels like they can no longer use your platform or they’re not getting exactly what they want in a situation the way they want it.”

“That’s when they decide to give up every time. I notice a pattern.”

Ice Spice claims that Cleotrapa left out some important details.

“You have less than 10,000 listeners and I’m sharing the stage with you. And you feel entitled to that.”

“But what the hell is this for trying to be a good person. We had fun. So you sit here and complain about chicken salad? You never come talk to me about chicken salad, what are you really talking about?”

“You think that the people who work for me have to work for you. That’s crazy to me.”

Ice Spice insisted, “I didn’t even know you got off the bus. And you’re going to send me an essay that has an introduction, a body, and a conclusion and you want me to try to analyze this shit and figure out why I’m wrong when all I did was share my stage with you when I didn’t even have to do that.”
