Kelly Clarkson Set to Return as Host for ‘Christmas at Rockefeller Center’ Tree Lighting Ceremony

Kelly Clarkson made a surprising announcement about her show.

According to a video uploaded by “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” the singer will host NBC’s “Christmas at Rockefeller Center” tree lighting ceremony once again. The clip begins with Clarkson mentioning her efforts before welcoming the show’s guests.

Clarkson described how wonderful New York City is during the holidays, saying, “This city is magical, I love the holidays in New York.”

She also emphasized that living in the city during the Christmas season is like being a part of a movie.

“There is nothing like it in the world, especially the tree lighting ceremony, an iconic tradition, right outside this building,” Clarkson shared. “I organized it last year and I thought, ‘Oh, this is going to be fun.’”

Clarkson recalled his experience during last year’s tree lighting event, “The tree lights up, and you’re like, I don’t know, I found out I’m going to survive something, I’m like, . I don’t know, but it’s beautiful when you stand there.”

She added: “I suddenly got to be in a Charlie Brown movie and it was magical.

Clarkson then revealed the big news: “However, I’m especially excited that for the second year in a row, I will actually be hosting ‘Christmas at Rockefeller Center’ again. Very excited, I will dress warmly again.”

She shared that the event will be a two-hour live special, held on December 4, at 8 p.m. ET (Eastern Time) on NBC and Peacock.

The event will also feature star-studded surprise guests.
