Rihanna gets candid about some of the dark sides of motherhood, including postpartum hair loss, as she revealed that she suffered from patchy hair loss after giving birth to her two children.

During the launch of her latest venture, Fenty Hair, the beauty mogul spoke with Refinery29 and she admitted that postpartum hair loss was unexpected.

“I also didn’t expect it to happen in waves. I thought it would happen and grow back,” she said, adding that some parts of her hair would fall out in different places.

Although she lost some of her hair in the process, Rihanna said she saw this as an opportunity to change her style and embraced it.

“I’ve learned to accept that. It’s actually made me a little more creative and clever with my hairstyle,” she added.

During her product launch event, Rihanna ditched her wig and braided it to show off her natural hair on the red carpet. The singer can be seen rocking her natural curls dyed honey.
