Celine Dion gets emotional after cellist after special performance of ‘My Heart Will Go On’ but is denied invitation to go on stage

Celine Dion returns to the glittering lights of Las Vegas for a performance of HAUSER’s “Rebel With A Cello” at the Wynn.

After spending several years in the audience due to stiffness, the legendary singer made a special effort to attend Saturday night’s performance by the world-class Croatian cellist.

Reportedly, HAUSER, also known as Stjepan Hauser, got to know his VIP guest and performed “My Heart Will Go On”, the film’s iconic theme song. Titanic shipwas famously recorded by Dion for the soundtrack, TMZ reports.

Now a well-known figure in the Las Vegas entertainment scene, Dion received a warm round of applause upon her arrival and as she took her seat.

As HAUSER launched into the opening notes of “My Heart Will Go On”, Dion was captivated, listening intently to his exquisite performance on stage.

Moved by the performance, Dion remained completely immersed in the moment, sitting silently until the very end.

Without delay, and regardless of her condition, she rose to give HAUSER a standing ovation, along with scattered applause from the other audience members.

A moment later, Dion realized that the applause was not only for HAUSER but also for herself, because she has been associated with the classic song since its release 27 years ago.

She turned left and right, expressing her gratitude with nods and blowing kisses to concert attendees.

When the applause died down, the 36-year-old musician tried to persuade Dion to join him on stage.

“I have a dream. My biggest dream is to perform with you guys,” he said into the microphone, causing the audience to react enthusiastically.

Dion gently declined his request but gestured with her hand as if to suggest that they should discuss the matter in the future.

Feeling rejected, HAUSER asked if he could take her on stage for “just one verse”, but again Dion refused.

“Thank you so much for being here. It’s a great honor for us,” he told her before telling her to “enjoy the rest of the show.”

The 56-year-old native of Quebec, Canada, has not performed publicly since 2020 due to muscle spasms.

In December 2022, Dion revealed she has stiff person syndrome, a serious neurological condition, and announced she was postponing tour dates for this reason.
