Did Dua Lipa lip-sync? Fans defend singer against recent accusations: ‘Unfair!’

Dua Lipa fans have defended the singer against accusations of ‘lip-syncing’ following her performance at Glastonbury Festival.

The 28-year-old singer dominated the Glastonbury Festival with a jaw-dropping performance. But due to sound issues, attendees accused her of “stuttering” and lip-syncing throughout the performance.

At the time, people noticed that her voice did not match her movements; thus, giving rise to speculation that she was not singing live.

Lipa, in turn, denied the allegations in an interview with the Daily Mail, saying, “I’m not pantomime.”

A Reddit thread also received comments from fans of the “Levitating” singer defending her against the allegations.

One person wrote, “Genesis acoustic on her YT. Her voice sounds exactly like her well-recorded songs.”

“She has an amazing live voice. I was amazed,” a second person wrote, while a third said, “I had the honor of seeing her perform live in Vegas after COVID started to subside. She’s an amazing live performer.”

Another shared, “Dua Lipa’s live performance was incredible and this criticism is so unfair!”

Amid the doubts, Lipa previously revealed how she was able to pull off her performance despite the heavy choreography.

“I haven’t done a proper tour for a year so I need to get my stamina back before I go to festivals,” she told the ‘Dish From Waitrose’ podcast.[It involves] running, jumping, singing, all at the same time, to make sure I can handle it when the adrenaline is also pumping. Like rehearsals, no drinking, practice, just constant preparation for all the upcoming performances.”

Lipa also made headlines for her reaction to a Glastonbury Festival attendee who began strumming a ukulele and singing in front of the singer.

The singer of the song “Dance The Night” had a cute response by shaking her head and smiling.

“I love it man, it’s delicious,” she told the fan, identified as Liam C.

Lipa also dominated the news after she went public with her romance with Callum Turner on Instagram. She confirmed their relationship by posting a photo with the British actor on Tuesday, July 2.

“Dancing until you see the sunrise at Stone Circle is Glasto,” she captioned the post.

The couple were first linked at Master of Air premiered in London on January 11. They were seen cuddling at the event’s after-party.
